Yang Jingnian (born October 17, 1908) is a Chinese economist and translator from Miluo, Hunan Province. During 1932 he attended National Chengchi University Administration department. Graduating at 1936, he joined the Nankai University economic research institute. Nine years later, in 1945, he learned politics in Oxford university, specializing in economics. In 1948 he has earned his PhD, and at the same year he was assigned a professor in Nankai university. His main translations are: * "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith * "The Economic Development of France and Germany 1814-1914" by Sir John Harold Clapham * "History of Economics Analysis" by Joseph Schumpeter.
